Description
It's from my Painting 1 class my first semester of college, my first landscape.
Ug... I just... I don't know. I tried to copy my grandpa's style but it didn't work. ;_;
The road is actually in the very foreground and everything to the right of it is WAY in the back- it was inspired by a stretch of road that me and my mom were driving once in West Virginia to visit some school. The turn curved up a hill and then went really sharp cause there was a steep hill on the other side of it. It freaked us out a little bit but we didn't crash or loose control or anything.
I think my favorite thing is the clump of trees in the lower right corner.
I got a C on it.

The sky is really pretty, and I like the way you did the grass on the left side of the road with more detail than the right, as if you're closer to it. I can see, however, that you really did make some progress over the course of teh semester, between this one and the snowy trees. I think one thing that caused that to happen is that you found your own style, and you could.....feel it, and that translated into work you were more connected with. Still, for it to be your first landscape, it's definitely got some good elements and shows that even at that point, you had some really good potential
